While most of the world is stuck on Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines,” I am currently repeating Mayer Hawthorne’s “Where Does This Door Go.” The album is a masterpiece from beginning to end full of crisp r&b melodies and lyrics. Unlike most of Hawthorne’s previous records, this time he has worked with several producers including Robin Thicke’s bestie, Pharrell Williams. Check out the video for the smooth single, “Her Favorite Song.” Hawthorne sings of the sweet joy music brings by doing just that with his signature falsetto. This track is simply a taste of the album!
